Questions
Curated matchmaking for Latter-day Saint singles.
If you have just found matchMor and are wondering what it actually is, this page answers the questions people ask first.
What is matchMor?
matchMor is a matchmaking service for single members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is not a dating app: there is no feed to scroll and no pool of profiles to browse. You complete a detailed survey, a real person reviews it, and introductions are made for you one at a time.
Is matchMor a dating app?
No. There is nothing to swipe and no list of people to sort through. matchMor works more like a matchmaker — the searching is done for you, and an introduction is only made when there is a genuine reason behind it.
Who is matchMor for?
Single Latter-day Saints who would rather be introduced to a small number of people thoughtfully than browse many. Members tell us about their faith, family hopes, personality and what they are actually looking for, and that is the basis of every introduction.
Where does matchMor operate?
matchMor currently serves Wasatch Front, UT; St. George / Cedar City, UT; Rexburg / Idaho Falls, ID; Boise / Meridian, ID; Mesa / Phoenix, AZ. If you are somewhere else you can still join the waitlist and ask to be told when your area opens.
How much does matchMor cost?
Membership is $39 per month, and your first month is free. A card is required to activate your membership, but nothing is charged until the free month ends and you can cancel any time before then from your account page.
How are matches made?
A person reviews your profile before it is admitted, and introductions are made deliberately rather than generated in bulk. When there is someone worth meeting you receive a written compatibility brief explaining why. Only a few introductions are ever open at once.
What happens when I am introduced to someone?
You are emailed a compatibility brief and you decide whether you would like to meet them. Contact details are only shared once both people have said yes — until then, neither of you can reach the other. If you both agree, conversation starters and date ideas unlock alongside the contact details.
Can I browse profiles myself?
No, and that is the point. Nobody is presented as a list of options. It also means your own profile is never sitting in a feed for strangers to scroll past.
How is my information handled?
Your information is never sold. Some survey answers are private by design and are never shown to the people you are introduced to. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
How do I join?
Join the waitlist at matchmor.com. People are invited in gradually rather than all at once, so joining the list is the first step rather than instant access.
